I just like to say a few words for my Dad who tragically took his own life on 29th January
2008.....
What you say to someone who has always been
One of the most essential parts of your world,
Someone who took you by the hand when you were little
and helped show you the way?
What do you say to someone who stood by to help you grow
providing love, strength and support
So you could become the person you are today?
What can you say to let him know he is the best there is
And that you hope you have inherited some of his
Strength and wisdom?
What words would you say if you ever had the chance?
maybe just to say I Love You Dad
And hope he understands.
He was a handsome, funny beautiful man but more than anything else, he was my Dad xx
I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and the day's before that too
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part
God has you in his keeping

R.I.P Old man. You were my Father for 30 years and you did me good, showed me the way, and got me out of some sticky situations, I used to enjoy the Beer and Curry, just the two of us. Thinking of you every day you silly sod.
